Payday 2

This is a first-person shooter where you rob banks and kill police. It's also an AWFUL game.

THE GOOD:

• You can play with friends and share the misery.
• Thank goodness I got this one as a freebie.

THE BAD:

• This game is simply awful.
• The interface is unintuitive.
• It's really confusing.
• The way pagers (guard radios) work when you kill guards is very unintuitive and kind of silly. I kept forgetting to pick up the pager. It's also kind of silly that somebody can juggle 4 pagers at once while doing other things.
• It's almost impossible to do a mission by stealth: it's just a question of when you screw up and the infinite wave of cops arrives. As a result, the game doesn't really feel like a bank robbery game so much as a cop-murdering game.

THE UGLY:

• The tutorials to learn how to play are super glitchy and fail constantly.
• You kill police—a ridiculous boatload of police.
• The first mission involves robbing a bank and having 300 cops throw themselves at you (you kill them all). You have to run past police snipers to throw your cash in a van and drive away while the cops sit around and wonder where you went.
